Mini Biografia/Biography

Olá! Me chamo Lara e sou nativa de Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brasil, ou seja, manézinha de coração. Sou alguém que ama viajar, passar tempo com as pessoas especiais de minha vida e daria voltas no mundo pelos meus pets. Adoro buscar e compartilhar novos conhecimentos, sempre terei um hobbie do momento para tagarelar e é um prazer conhecê-lo(a).

Desde pequena fui extremamente guiada pela arte e criação, estava sempre desenhando ou desenvolvendo alguma doida invenção. Minha família incentivava pensar fora da caixa, ir atrás de coisas novas e adquirir novos hobbies artísticos. Adorava testar novos materiais pros meus desenhos e descobrir algumas das infinitas possibilidades que os lápis, canetas e crayons traziam.

Conforme eu ia crescendo, considerei muitas profissões, como Medicina Veterinária, Terapia Ocupacional, Arquitetura e Urbanismo, mas acabei escolhendo o Design. Principalmente por causa da área de criação digital como sites e aplicativos, uma área também chamada de UX/UI Design. Porém, quanto mais tempo estou imersa nesse belo universo, mais os outros campos chamam a minha atenção, adoro o Design de Produtos e o Design de Interiores, meu objetivo é me especializar em múltiplas habilitações, mas estou iniciando na área do Gráfico.

Hello there! My name is Lara and I am from Florianópolis, SC, Brazil. I love to travel, spend time with loved ones and would take leaps around the world for my beloved pets. I love to research to find new knowledges and share them, I will always have a hobbie of the moment to comment about and it is a pleasure to get to know you.

Ever since I was little I´ve been guided by art and creation, always drawing or devolping some crazy invention. My family encouraged me to think outside the box, looking for new hobbies and artsy stuff to do. Always testing some new materials for my drawings and discovering some of the endless possibilities that the pencils, markers and crayons had.

I considered many professions as I grew up, such as Veterinary Medicine, Occupational Therapy and Architecture and Urbanism, but ended up choosing Design. Mostly because of digital creation, an area that specializes in websites and apps, also known as UX/UI Design. As time passes since I´ve been imersed in this beautiful universe that is Design, other aspects also caught my eye, such as Product Design and Interior Design, so my main objective is to specialize in multiple areas, starting with Graphic Design.

In these recent years, I´ve also fallen in love with photography and all of its aspects, so expect to see loads of photos in my page, since photography has become a strong freelance career for me.

Minha Formação/My Studies

Durante minha infância estudei em uma escola que priorizava a língua inglesa, tive contato constante com o idioma diariamente por 4 anos, logo sou tão fluente em inglês como sou em português.

Alguns anos depois me encontro cursando o terceirão em 2020, época em que a pandemia de Sars-Cov-2 surgiu. Em meio às opções de curso me senti um pouco perdida até decidir que queria cursar Design. Comecei a estudar de forma independente para os vestibulares e ENEM que viriam, meu alvo era estudar na Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), mas, passei em outro curso antes de atingir meu objetivo. Cursei Design de Produtos no Instituto Federal de Santa Catarina (IFSC) por um semestre, quando percebi que era a área que eu precisava conhecer melhor. Enquanto cursava no IFSC meus estudos para o vestibular não pararam, assistia às aulas e fazia os trabalhos durante o dia e à noite e nos fins de semana me dedicava aos estudos.

Consegui atingir meu objetivo e atualmente estou cursando a terceira fase de Design na UFSC.

During my childhood I studied in a school which prioritized English, so I have been in constant contact with the language daily for 4 years, which made me fully fluent in English, just as much as I am in my mother tongue, Portuguese.

Years after that I found myself in senior year of high school in 2020, just the time that the Sars-Cov-2 pandemic hit. In the midst of all the major options, I felt a bit lost, until I chose to study Design. So I started studying independently for all the national exams and tests to come, my objective at the time was to study in the University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), but instead landed on another opportunity before getting on my main objective. I studied Product Design in the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC) for a semester, that was when I noticed it was an area that I needed to get to know. Even though I was studying in IFSC, my studies for the national exam and tests did not stop, since I still very much wanted to go to university, so I watched all my classes and did all the projects during the day and at night and on weekends I dedicated my time to my studies.

I was able to reach my goal and I am currently in the my sophomore year (third semester) of Design in UFSC.

Habilidades e Experiência/Skills and Experience

Quando meu interesse pelo design surgiu, comecei a fazer algumas criações como freelancer para pequenas empresas, fiz alguns posts ou anúncios para redes sociais e foi ali que minha trajetória no campo iniciou.

Trabalho como programadora de automação residencial para uma empresa de áudio e vídeo, onde também desenvolvo interfaces e aprendo mais sobre a experiência do usuário através dos feedbacks dos clientes.

Além disso, em 2020 durante a pandemia eu me apaixonei pela fotografia, estava sempre buscando lugares perto de casa para fotografar pois assim conseguia manter distanciamento. Muitos destes cenários eram a natureza, as lindíssimas paisagens de Floripa ou até mesmo fotografando meus pets sem sair de casa.

A partir disso, já fui atrás de mais conhecimento nas áreas de edição de vídeo, edição de imagem, desenho digital, criação de interfaces e muito mais.

When my newfound interest for design came, I started doing a few creations as a freelancer for small businesses, such as Instagram posts or ads for social media and that was when my trajectory in Design began.

Currently I freelance as a home automation programmer for a audio & video company, where I develop interfaces and learn a lot about user experience (UX) through my clients feedbacks of my work.

Besides that, in 2020, during the pandemic I fell in love for photography, always looking for places close to home to capture a few clicks so that I could mantain social distancing. Many of those places where beautiful scenerys were the wonderful nature of Florianópolis (my home town) or even taking pictures of my pets without leaving the house.

With all that baggage, I have been looking forward to know more about video and photo editing, as well as digital drawing, interface develpment and so much more.
